A
picture is worth a thousand words and this workshop will look at what
makes a photo tell a great story. In this hands-on workshop, participants
will go over the basics of what makes a good photograph in the morning
session, go on a picture taking assignment of the LIFT event, and return
for the afternoon session to share their LIFT photos. Participants need to
bring their own digital cameras and USB cables. Please note: This
is a two-part workshop. Part 1 begins at 10:45 a.m. and Part 2
begins at 1:15 p.m. (A/HS/MS)
Leaders: Pastor Roxi Kringle, a
member of the synods Connection Building Ministry Team, is very handy with a camera.
She is the assembly photographer. Assisting her will be Pastor George
Mathews, also a member of the Connection Building Ministry Team and a
computer whiz.
In
the morning, participants will see a film on the life of this courageous
Lutheran pastor who was executed by the Nazis for his resistance to
Hitler. In the afternoon, participants will discuss what Bonhoeffers life
and witness means for us now in the USA. Please note: This
is a two-part workshop and will run from 10:45 through 12:15 to
view a video and will begin again at 1:15 p.m. through 2:15 p.m. for
discussion. Part 1 begins at 10:45 a.m. and Part 2
begins at 1:15 p.m. (A/HS/MS)
Leader: Dr. Manfred K. Bahmann was born and raised in Germany during the Hitler regime and World War II. He is a professor of church history and a Lutheran pastor currently serving St. Paul Lutheran Church, Albrightsville.
