Site for Registration; Directions to Muhlenberg

Registration for LIFT will take place in the Field House, #23 on the campus map. (Click the campus map link or click on the diagram to the left for a larger picture.)

Some parking lots at Muhlenberg will be available for those attending LIFT.

Muhlenberg College is located at 2400 Chew Street in the west end of Allentown. Follow Interstate Route 78 (east-west) or I-476 (Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike) to U.S. Route 22, then U.S. Route 22 or I-78 to Allentown exits. From 22, take Cedar Crest Boulevard exit south (left) to third traffic light, take a left on Chew Street, and follow Chew Street about one mile to the campus. From 78, take the Cedar Crest Boulevard exit north (right) and go six traffic lights. Take a right on to Chew Street and follow Chew Street about one mile to the campus.

Walk for ELCA World Hunger

Calling all walkers!

The Walk will be held from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, with registration beginning at 7:30 AM.

Walk the perimeter of the Muhlenberg College campus (23rd Street, Chew Street, 26th Street, and Liberty Street – a distance of about a mile).

Lockers and showers are available at the college. Bring your own towels and a lock for the locker. Check in for the Walk begins at 7:30 a.m. at the LIFT registration desk in the Muhlenberg Life Sports Center.

Children's Program

Creation Celebration is the theme of the LIFT 2009 Children’s Program, designed for children who have completed kindergarten or grades 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. Led by Elizabeth Elterich, AiM, and Leesa Wimmer, AiM, the program will be held in Martin Luther Hall Underground (building #25 on the Muhlenberg map).

Children in the program will learn a song with Dakota Road that the children will sing at the closing LIFT worship, doing crafts related to creation and the Book of Faith, playing games, and meeting new friends.

Pre-registration is required. Children will assemble at 9:15 a.m. in the Field House and then be escorted to the Underground.

Parents/guardians must pick up their children from the Underground promptly at noon.
