The Nineteenth Annual Synod Assembly of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod, ELCA, was held May 19-20, 2006, at the Wachovia Arena, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Directions to the Wachovia Arena

From the Lehigh Valley
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-476) north towards Scranton. Exit the turnpike at Exit 105 (Bear Creek/Wilkes-Barre exit). Turn left onto PA 115 (Bear Creek Blvd.). Follow Route 115 north for 5 miles (Route 115 becomes Route 309 north approximately 4.2 miles from the turnpike). Take Exit 1 toward PA-309-BR S/PA-315N/Dupont; merge onto PA-315 S via Exit 1; this becomes Kidder Street. Take Route 315/Kidder Street for a short distance to the first light, Mundy Street. Turn left onto Mundy St. for 0.9 miles, then turn left onto Highland Park Blvd. Follow Highland Park Blvd. for 0.4 miles. The arena is on your left.

From Reading area
Take I-81 north towards Hazleton. Take the Highland Park Blvd. exit, Exit 168, towards Wilkes-Barre for 0.9 miles. The arena is on your right.

From Scranton
Take I-81 south towards Hazleton. Take the Highland Park Blvd. exit, Exit 168, towards Wilkes-Barre for 0.9 miles. The arena is on your right.

Directions to the Woodlands Inn and Resort

Forums will be held on Friday, May 19, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, a short distance from the Wachovia Arena. Below are directions to the Woodlands from I-81 and I-476 (PA Turnpike) and directions from the Woodlands to the Wachovia Arena.

Directions to the Woodlands from I-81
Exit I-81 at exit 170B; travel 0.75 miles to the first exit from Route 309 North (Cross Valley Expressway). At the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto Route 315. Travel 0.3 miles; the Woodlands will be on your right.

Directions to the Woodlands from the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Exit the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Bear Creek exit (Exit 105). At the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto Route 115. Follow Route 115 for 4.25 miles towards Wilkes-Barre to the I-81 interchange. Do not take I-81; rather, proceed past I-81 for an additional 0.75 miles (to the first exit from Route 309 North/Cross Valley Expressway). At the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto Route 315. Travel 0.3 miles; the Woodlands will be on your right.

Directions from the Woodlands to the Wachovia Arena
From the Woodlands parking area, turn left onto Route 315; follow Route 315 for 0.5 mile to Route 309 south. Exit Route 315 and follow Route 309 south for 0.6 mile to I-81. Follow I-81 south for 1.4 miles to Exit 168 Follow the connecting road for 0.5 mile to Highland Park Blvd. Turn right onto Highland Park Blvd.; the arena will be on your right.
