Gulf Coast Help is Still Needed!
When the 2005 hurricane season battered communities along the U.S. Gulf
Coast, the response of Lutheran donors was overwhelming. Through that
support, Lutheran Disaster Response has played an integral role in the
initial stages of recovery from these terrible disasters. But the work is
far from over. Recovery could continue for years—and LDR asks you to renew
your commitment to the Gulf Coast by giving to an unprecedented second
funding campaign. To give a gift to the appeal or learn more,

See Your Mission Support at Work
Make your own spreadsheet to help your congregational members understand how your
congregation's mission support contribution to the Northeastern Pennsylvania
Synod is used. Simply request a copy of the spreadsheet from your mission
district associate of the bishop. Then enter the dollar commitment figure for your
congregation for 2008 and the spreadsheet allocates appropriate amounts to
different synodical and churchwide ministries.

Resources for Conflict Resolution
Conflict is inevitable in life, even within the church. Conflict in itself
is not bad; it's how one deals with it that makes the difference.
Check out
this page for a list of materials on this website that may help
congregations, rostered leaders, and others deal with conflict.
