Block Grant Awarded to Synod

The Frank E. Clark Charitable Trust has awarded Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod a block grant of $75,000. The grant is to be redistributed to small congregations in rural and small town settings. Congregations are invited to apply; more information and an application form with for requesting funds from this grant may be found here.

DVD of Bishop Zeiser's Installation

A DVD of Bishop Zeiser's installation and the pre-service music is now available. Each congregation in the synod may request one free copy of the DVD.

Click here for a form that you can print from your computer to request the free copy or order additional copies. This form was also on the back page of the cover sheet for November's synod mailing.

The deadline for requesting the free congregational DVD has passed, but copies are still available. DVDs that have not been requested by a congregation are available for purchase.

Volunteer Ministry Task Force Information

The synod Volunteer Ministry Task Force coordinates volunteer ministries across the synod. This group can provide support, assistance, and training for a Director of Volunteer ministries position. In addition, they will assist congregations in recruitment, training, recognition, and retention of congregational volunteers. For more information and the names of contacts, click here.

See Your Mission Support at Work

Make your own spreadsheet to help your congregational members understand how your congregation's mission support contribution to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod is used. Simply request a copy of the spreadsheet from your mission district associate of the bishop. Then enter the dollar commitment figure for your congregation for 2008 and the spreadsheet allocates appropriate amounts to different synodical and churchwide ministries.
